GelSight Mobile™ is a handheld instrument that precisely visualizes and measures the 3D topography of any surface, revealing microscopic structures that are difficult to detect using traditional inspection techniques. The proprietary elastomeric tactile sensor technology enables GelSight Mobile™ to be used on any surface - including metal, glass, carbon fiber, or textiles. This process provides micron-level details and rapid surface measurements, which are being used for a wide range of non-destructive mobile metrology applications.

SchmietaPlus collaborated with Fikst Product Development and the GelSight development team to create this precision instrument. Ergonomics and usability are fine-tuned through many rounds of prototypes and user testing feedback. This design combines perfect functionality with a minimal, pure aesthetic.
